Tropical forests store large carbon stocks, shelter a wide range of biodiversity, and are a source of livelihood for thousands of local communities. Conversion of forests into plantations or agriculture has made Indonesia one of the largest emitters of greenhouse gases in the world.
Therefore nature and the environment are very important to us. We clear land only in areas that have been abandoned by previous land owners. If there is forest area within our plantation area, then we will avoid development in the area and make the area into a Conservation Area protection program. We consider forest areas to be valuable and in need of protection.
In addition, our company has evidence that forests are home to wildlife, therefore their safety and sustainability is our top priority. Animals that live around the forest such as monkeys, various species of birds, forest goats and various other types, and several types of plants that live in this area are always supervised by the company's Management and Drone (unmanned aircraft) and we will severely punish if there is illegal activity in the area. the area. In some areas, we grow our own plants and trees to add greenery. Sometimes we plant medicinal and fruit plants so that our employees can appreciate the importance of this conservation area.

We also encourage them to report if they encounter any illegal activity in the forest area. And we remind them of the dangers of fire and remind them to always be vigilant.
As a positive impact from the land clearing process, Best Agro International is committed to opening access to new roads to connect isolated areas in the interior. And of course the land clearing carried out by Best Agro International also has a positive impact on the local community's economy. Previously, transportation access to the destination location could only be reached via water transportation, but with the opening of the oil palm plantation area by Best Agro International, now land transportation can also be used there.
